The coming and ministry of Christ has commonly been misunderstood
In the announcement of the birth of Jesus Christ to Joseph, the angel includes the primary purpose of Christ’s coming (v. 21)
Many thought Christ had come to set up the kingdom for the Jews
JESUS – Jehovah is salvation
Save – make whole, to heal, to deliver from
The greatest “sickness” is sin, and the ONLY SAVIOUR is Jesus Christ
Try telling the world today that they have a sin problem and that they need Jesus Christ
Christ taught repeatedly the purpose of His coming (Matt 9:10-13)
Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
An excellent Old Testament passage that illustrates man’s greatest need is Jeremiah 17:1-9
This is why Christ came, why are you here? What is your purpose?
