Reading of Psalm 2 where God declares Christ, His King and His Son born to rule the world
I. The honor of being the king that reigns
Isaiah prophesies that Christ will be more than just a child born or a Son given, but a king (Isa 9:6, 7; 32:1, 2)
Revelation speaks of Christ as being King of kings… and the “King of the saints” (Rev 15:3)
II. The humility of being the king that resides
No other king had such a humble birth…
From the manger to the cross… (Matt 2:2; John 19:14, 15)
1 Tim 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Psa 72:11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
