7/21/2024-Sunday School
Lesson 3: Juggling Life and its Responsibilities
Text: Acts 6:1-4
Theme: Learn to simplify life by making better decisions.
Even God delegated responsibilities to Christ and Christ to the disciples
Let’s look at the PowerPoint
U Concerns often lead to more emotions
? What am I concerned about?
? What emotions are I feeling?
? What am I thinking? Is it biblical?
? What does God say I should do?
? What do I do if I have taken on some unjust responsibilities or personal obligations?
Acknowledge
Transition whenever possible (be gracious)
Encourage and pray for others
Focusing on a few key questions
? Do you start projects without finishing them?
? Do you have problems saying “no” to people?
? Do you find yourself getting so concerned that you try to get someone else to take on the responsibility?
? Why would God burden you just to have you to give it to someone else?
? Are you critical of others that don’t seem concerned with the things that concern you?
? Do you conclude that those who aren’t involved don’t even care?
? Do you try to multi-task when you are to be spending time with family or others?
If you have the gift of mercy it will be harder for you because of your natural concern for people
Practical application
Men, just because you are the head of the home doesn’t mean that everything has to go your way
You may just need to do consider these circles for one day or one week to make adjustment because of a conflict/schedule…
It is best when dealing with a home or family concern or obligation to have both the husband & wife present
? What is a family member or friend is living in sin?
? Is it your responsibility to make them change?
? What is your responsibility? (child vs adult)
NOTE: You can’t control even a child’s heart
Show the love of Christ
Pray for them
Respond biblically
TOOL OF EVALUATION:
Is it neither urgent and nor important?
Is it urgent, but not important?
Is it important, but not urgent?
Is it both important and urgent?
