Did David forget that he had enemies that he didn’t focus on them until now, or did he CHOOSE to focus on God instead?

Psa 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Those that seek your soul shall not ultimately succeed
? If your soul isn’t supposed to or doesn’t find its peace in the defeat of your enemy then WHERE DOES YOUR SOUL FIND PEACE?
