It is hard to raise a godly family in any age. We often think of Job as the afflicted man. Today I want to look at Job, the family man
One of the most difficult things to do is to be successful in business and successful in raising a godly family at the same time. Job excelled… Let’s look at vv. 2, 3 & 8
“No one like him in the earth…”
Right with God – perfect (vv. 1, 8)
Right with mankind – upright (vv. 1, 8)
Doing well in business (v. 3)
His family is living in unity (v. 4)
What can we learn from this to help parents? How can we apply this portion (often overlooked) to our lives as Christian families?
I. The spiritual priority of your parenting is primary (v. 5)
II. The spiritual discernment of your parenting is critical (v. 5)
Don’t be satisfied with your children loving each other
III. The spiritual responsibility of your parenting is continual (v. 5)
? Where is the focus of your attention, parents?
? What spiritual activities are you doing to ensure that your children are right with God?
? Do you have the passion, love and concern for your children that you would invest in them like Job did?
