Theme: It is your duty to find passages that will help you to grow.
Too many Christians are not purposeful in their approach to understanding the Bible
Some people know what the Bible says, but don’t understand what it means. Do you really know what it says if you don’t understand what it means?
Some of you want to read through the Bible each year. That is fine, but I would try to take at least one day to find passages that will help you to grow as a Christian
Trials: study passages like James 1:1-8; 1 Peter 1:3-7; Romans 5:1-5
Sinful temptations: James 1:13-17; 1 Cor 10:13; 2 Cor 10:4, 5; Eph 4:17-32
Relationship with the Lord/ struggling with emotions, etc: Study of the Psalms. In particular Psalms 18; 27; 42; 43; 63
Parenting: The book of Proverbs
Purchase a topical Proverbs study book or find online topical studies of Proverbs
This would be a great study for at least one day a week for any parent or multiple days in the midst of difficulties
