Theme: As parents you must understand your goals in parenting and the temptations that will hinder that development.
Children are a gift from God. The goal of parents and parenting is to raise your child to glorify the Lord
John addresses the temptation to love the world (1 John 2:15, 16)
There is a biblical principle… (Lam 3:51; Job 31:1; Psa 101:3)
Your children are going to be tempted to fall in love with this world. Be careful how much of this world you show them in the name of entertainment
U Ultimately, this is about your child/children’s hearts, not about their phones , tablets or computers
U If you have their heart you/THEY will be able to control their phones and tablets
U As a parent you are not only trying to get your children to hear your voice and to listen to it, but also to hear God’s voice and listen to Him
What are the keys to victory? (1 John 2:14)
James also talks about temptation: Drawn away, enticed, entangled (James 1:14, 15)
