In the region of Galilee Christ spent much time – probably because it was known to be a training region for Jewish rabbis
What is a disciple?
Insulas – what were they like?
Synagogues – why were they so important?
Talmid (Hebrew)/mathaytes (Greek) – a disciple of Christ
The emphasis wasn’t just in knowing what they know, but being just like them. Learning their traits and characteristics
Consider the Great Commission (Matt 28:19, 20)
A disciple is a follower-learner
