Lesson 6: The Jews and their Messiah
Text: 1 Peter 3:1-7
Theme: The Jews had a phrase meaning harmony or peace at home – Shalom Bayit
Your Christian home is to be the number one way to demonstrate to the world the relationship between Christ and Christians (the Church)
But men, you are to show Christ to your wife. “As Christ loved the Church”. What an incredible responsibility you have no matter how your wife responds to you!
Shalom Bayit – harmony or peace within the home
Rabbis spend a lot of time teaching on the Jewish home. Most of the emphasis is on the responsibility of the man to lead the home to harmony.

The question isn’t, “Husband, have you told your wife that you love her?” The question is, “Wife, has your husband made you feel like he loves you?”
Dad and mom this is where parenting starts – harmony between husband and wife
Dr. Hartman suggested that you ask a great question… “What do your children think about your marriage?”
