Sermon 5: Living in Anticipation of the Coming of Christ
Text: 1 Thessalonians 2:13-20
Theme: The message of the Word of God will transform a life and a community.
The most important message that we have to offer is the preaching of the Word of God. The most important characteristic for a community is that it has a Church that stands faithful to the Word of God
I. God’s Word produces evidences of genuine Christianity (vv. 13-14)
A. Their lives had evidence that the Word of God had changed them (v. 13)
B. Their lives were displaying the characteristics of other Christians (v. 14)
Keys for developing this is discipleship and mentoring as Christians, ladies Bible studies, etc
II. God’s Word produces opposition to community impact (vv. 15-16)
III. God’s Word produces a unique bond of fellowship between believers (vv. 17-20)
