Sermon 9: Living in Anticipation of the Coming of Christ
Text: 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12
Theme: The love of Christ should be displayed in our lives.
A call to holiness (vv. 1-8)

1 Thess 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren…that as ye have received of us HOW YE OUGHT TO WALK AND TO PLEASE GOD…
I. Are you growing in your love for ALL other Christians? (vv. 9, 10)
AN EVIDENCE OF YOUR SALVATION IS THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKING IN YOUR HEART CAUSING YOU TO LOVE OTHERS (ROM 5:5; 1 JOHN 3:14)

If we truly love others, we will spend more time focusing on ourselves and how we live rather than focusing on others and how they live
