SERMON 5: THE CHURCH – CALLED TO MENTOR, DISCIPLE & COUNSEL
Text: Romans 15:1-7
Theme: A Church must be able to give hope.
We must understand that many people attend services feeling hopeless…and often helpless because everyone has given up on them. Now this is their last hope
Counseling/encouraging provides two elements that every Christian needs:
1. Help
2. Hope
I. Every Christian needs hope
II. Hope comes from God
III. God enables the Church (Christians) to give hope
You are not their hope
You are the channel for giving hope
Our hope comes from God:
God’s Word (Rom. 15:4)
God Himself (Rom. 15:13)
