Sermon 10: How to have a Genuine Relationship with God
Text: 1 John 1
Theme: Your relationship with God is to be all about fellowship with Him.
How to have a genuine relationship with God is built upon the foundations of salvation and fellowship
Is your joy full? What is your joy coming from?
NOTE: Prayer is primarily for fellowship/relationship with God
I. You can have joyful fellowship with God through faith (vv. 1-4)
They were giving a message to others that even though they didn’t have the same opportunity they could have the same joy
II. You can have joyful fellowship with God through forgiveness (vv. 5-10)
Am 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Sin doesn’t cause us to lose our relationship; sin causes us to lose our joy (peace)
