Sermon 14: How to have a Genuine Relationship with God
Text: Galatians 5:22-6:1
Theme: Christians can bear fruit through their relationship with the Spirit.

I. THE EXPECTATION: Walking in the Spirit is crucial to your spiritual victory (vv. 14-17)
II. THE EXPLANATION: Walking in the Spirit is allowing the Holy Spirit to control your life (v. 16)
There are two aspects of the filling of the Spirit
Static – Filled with the Spirit speaking of salvation (Gal 4:29)
Dynamic – being filled with the Spirit for victory (Gal 5:16)
Paul writes the keys to spiritual victory (Gal 5:16-18, 25)
GAL 3:3 ARE YE SO FOOLISH? HAVING BEGUN IN THE SPIRIT, ARE YE NOW MADE PERFECT BY THE FLESH?
I. When the Spirit becomes your life vine you will begin to produce His fruit (5:22, 23)
II. When the Spirit becomes your life vine you will begin to help others to produce His fruit (6:1)
You can’t walk in the Spirit without a daily relationship with God through reading and prayer
Pay attention to the fruit that is to be in your life
